6. Links Course at Wild Dunes

ISLE OF PALMS.   Hitting the narrow fairways that are bordered by centuries old live oaks is only half the battle at the Links Course. Pot bunkers, gigantic dunes, lagoons, and marshlands all present a unique set of challenges and all come into play on a number of occasions. The greens are often elevated and contain some subtle, and some not-so-subtle, breaks. While the finishing holes are arguably among the most scenic in the country, the winds coming off the Atlantic will present problems that are less appealing.   (© 10Best)
