JOHNS ISLAND.   Novices and experienced golfers alike appreciate this course, which sits just outside the gates to Kiawah. On land reclaimed from a former plantation, Oak Point offers a Scottish-American style course with proximity to the Kiawah River and Haulover Creek. Its scenery includes stands of oak and palmetto, salt marshes, and freshwater lagoons. Designed by Clyde Johnston, the course is one of Kiawah's newest. 6,759 yards, par 72.   (© 10Best)
