The Buzz -- What better place to celebrate Independence Day than Patriot's Point, home of the famous WWII-era aircraft carrier USS Yorktown? There will be a food court, beer garden, live music from The East Coast Party Band, and special fun areas for the kids at this all out extravaganza. The real treat, of course, will be a spectacular fireworks display over the water, launched from the flight deck of the USS Yorktown! Admission to the site is free; ships and museums charged separately.

The Space -- The USS Yorktown is the star of the show at this Naval and Maritime Museum on Charleston Harbor. As well, the Congressional Medal of Honor Museum (located in the Yorktown), a destroyer, Coast Guard cutter, submarine, and several vintage aircraft make this a must-see attraction for military buffs.
