If management here were MY employees, they'd be FIRED
It really isn't the staff at the blind tiger, it's the management, or mismanagement I guess. The owner Lisa is usually high, or in bed with someone so she doesn't care what goes on, mitch the kitchen guy acts like a complete douche bag and yells at the staff and the customers. I asked for my burger to be cooked a bit more and you would have thought it was the end of the world. They all really need to grow up. They do not have any idea what is going on.

i believe that the blind tiger is a great establishment. but do not go there if your not 21. The bouncer there is extremely well trained in ids and he will take your id and not give it back. I went with my younger sister in a group from a wedding and he turned her down and he also turned down the brides sister and brother. Ive had friends who are well of age be afraid to go there because there id is messed up and think that they are not going to be able to get in. Other than that the place is cool.

Working downtown my wife and I eat in local places alot. Having not been to BT in awhile my wife and I discided to go have lunch (on 01/12/09 01:19 PM). We ordered the burger after the waitress (starts with K (5 letters)) said it was the best around. I ordered mine med well and hers med. When delivered, I took a bite of mine and it was some what ok, more red than I like for med well. But hers was driiping blood and had soaked the bottom bun soggy. She sends it back to cook more; the cook and waitress served it right back on the same soggy bun. I told the waitress and she said he changed it, I reached under the burger and pull this soggy bread up and say "no he didn't".
During this 40 minute meal we failed to have a refill of water and unsweet tea, not the first offer for a refill. They took off the cost of the soggy burger, but my wife went without lunch.
If I owned the place, a customer would not leave with that kind of service. My business card would be in the customers hand with a free meal on a return visit. Instead of having a repeat customer and a 2nd try, they have lost our business and those whom ask me about local places to eat. RMCAM

I agree with most of the previous review by Craig, but I would add that since his visit, there are new bar staff who are very welcoming and helpful, even when they are busy, and that there is now live music every night. I would recommend this bar to anyone who asked me where to go in Charleston.

Upon visiting Charleston, I asked a variety of locals where the best nightspot was. All of them said the "The Blind Tiger". So after dinner we made our way down to the renowned Pub. The atmosphere in the bar was excellent and made one feel real comfortable. The service was good in the beginning, but as the night got older the bar tenders took [an] attitude. I have never been talked to as rudely as I was this night. The bar tenders had the attitude that my patronage didn’t matter and if I didn’t like their attitude I could leave. I guess it was because they had lots of people waiting to get in, which is fine but I will never visit this establishment again. I’m use to places that appreciate that you are bringing your money in.
