DOWNTOWN.   McCrady's, located north of Broad off East Bay Street, occupies one of Charleston's lovely historic buildings and just can't be beat. The restaurant offers delicious Nouveau American cuisine, and service is among the most professional in town. Great wine and cocktail options also satisfy. Customers rave over such entrées as oven-roasted sea bass with chili peppers or herb-marinated rack of lamb with mint drizzle. The Lounge + Wine Bar at McCrady's (the entrance is at 155 East Bay) is a cool, hip place to meet with friends and enjoy wine and spirits.   (© 10Best)

The food was good, the servers were nice and good for a romantic dinner. But not a good place for a large group of people. The event coordinator is too busy to spend her time to coordinate your event. You spend lots of money for bad customer service and end up coordinating your event on your own. If you want a successful and stress-free event, go to a restaurant with a great coordinator who spends his/her time to really help you and makes you feel an important customer for the restaurant.

Just brought a large group to McCradys. Facility is terrific as was the wait staff; food, unfortunately, was bland, undistinquished and priced way above value. Apparently they lost their chef fairly recently and it shows.
