MOUNT PLEASANT.
The café at Boone Hall Farms market serves huge slabs of cake – the chocolate is absolutely sinful, and the spicy, tender carrot cake has a thick layer of cream cheese icing that has to be seen to be believed. There's also ice cream and a few home baked cookies and brownies, if you'd rather. Before you indulge in all that, take a peek around the store, where you'll find an assortment of clever gifts, wine, produce and gourmet foods. And if time permits, this is a great place for lunch, with satisfying sandwiches, soups, and chilidogs. Free WiFi too.

My family stpped in at Boone hall Plantation today, were we were given a reccomendation by the tour guide to visit Boone hall Farms for lunch. As I entered, I was impressed with the store, and the assortment available. However, since we stopped for lunch, we proceded around the store toward the cafe. My Mother was buying, so she went to the counter to order. When she ordered our drinks, the sign gave prices for fountain drinks, or bottles. She asked for bottles, and the cashier pointed across the room, but it didn't make sense where he was talking about. We found a cooler, but not what we expected.
We thought these would be normal Non return bottles like you would get in a convienience store, because they were priced the same. When we went to the only cooler we saw, they only had the little 8oz drinks, and an off brand of cheap soda. We weren't sure if the was what he meant, so my mother asked an employee who was cooking, right across the counter from her. He snapped at her quickly, and talked to her like she was stupid. He yelled at her that the drinks are right there, ansd there and the cooler is full of all kinds, (actually the assortment was small, and no diet except an 8 oz bottle.) The point isn't that the price of $1.29 for an 8 ounce is too high, but that this employee was extremely rude and hateful to a senior citizen-- customer, who was only asking a question. I asked for a manager at the cafe area, but was only told that the manager wasnn't there. No attempt was made to get anyone for me. Before I left, I went to the store checkouty, and got a cashier to get someone for me to talk to. The sad part is that she already knew who i was talking about. I will Never return here again! ---The food wasn't that great either!.
