JOHNS ISLAND.   Oak Point's club house looks out over a Clyde Johnston-designed course that occupies the grounds of an old plantation, and its restaurant has a great vantage point of the 18th green and of Haulover Creek. The casual place lets folks sit outside on the veranda or inside, where there's a fireplace to add ambience. The menu offers classic grill fare, including hot and cold sandwiches, salads, soups, and other light options.
