The Alexander home is the oldest standing structure in the area. Built in 1774, the home has been restored and is presently open to the public. Guides sporting period clothing lead tours of the home. The historic home gives a glimpse of life in colonial Charlotte. On the campus of the Charlotte Museum of History; paid admission to the museum covers access to the homesite as well.   (© 10Best)
