7. Mint Museum of Craft + Design

UPTOWN.   Opened in 1999, this museum showcases the best in cutting-edge fabricated art. Exhibits focus on original works of ceramic, fiber, furniture, glass, jewelry, metal, and wood. The museum also hosts special exhibits each year, including shows featuring North Carolina artists. A ticket purchased for the Museum of Craft + Design is also good for same-day admission to the esteemed Mint Museum of Art in Myers Park.   (© 10Best)
