The antique mahogany bar is where you'll find one of the best martinis anywhere, and, unlike some bars, 300 East's food is the perfect complement to your libations. The beef filet burgers are served on a garden patio in front of this bungalow-turned-bistro. Local fave: "The Usual" -- chicken salad, asparagus, mushrooms, and Cheddar served hot on a hoagie. Feeling festive? You can't go wrong with a "Matilda Wong." A combination of gin, rum, Triple Sec, brandy, and a secret blend of juices, it tastes like a SweeTART served in a pitcher. Limit: two. I went to brunch yesterday and was NOT impressed. The waitress was very friendly and the anvironment was pleasant, but the food was not very good and over priced. I got the shrim B.L.T. panini. It was too greasy, not enough flavor and the side salad looked like it came from a cafeteria. My friend got the scrambled eggs and bacon, and they enjoyed that. Other meals may be a better time to go; restaurants do tend to be notorious for having the worst quality food at brunch.
