House of Africa is a gem of Charlotte. A place for lovers of Africa Art and aesthetics to begin to build their collection or expand it. Thanks to Mr. Ndiaye for bringing this wealth of African heritage to Charlotte. The is not just a store, it is a gallery of history in all media of art. The name is appropriate: it is truly a house of Africa. The staff are friendly and make your shopping a great experience.

The House of Africa offers the largest array of quality African clothing, artwork, statues, jewelry, and fragrances in Charlotte. I was very impressed with the selection of art pieces that were available. In addition, the staff was very knowledgeable about the different pieces that were available for sale. The owner of the store was helpful in locating the several items I was interested in acquiring. He even placed an order to Africa to find the item I needed. I would highly recommend The House of Africa to anyone interested in finding authentic African Art or just looking for a view of different cultures!

The House of Africa is one of the best kept secrets in Charlotte. The collection of art pieces are from all over the continent of Africa. The art has been featured in several leading art gallery magazines, and has become a favorite among celebrites. In addition to having great art work visitors can go to the House of Africa to learn about the different African cultures, foods, herbs, and more. Their involvement in the Charlotte community has been well documented. Their Martin Luther King program, Juneteenth celebration during the month of June, and Learn About African Culture program with the Mecklenburg County Schools has been applauded by leading city officals. The next time you are in Charlotte, please visit The House of Africa. The House of Africa website is currently under construction. It will be available by the end of May. The address is www.houseofafrica.net
