7. P.F. Chang's China Bistro

Between the excellent food and the outstanding wine menu, it is hard to find a better restaurant in Charlotte.

At P.F. Changs, the food and the atmosphere combine to make your dining experience one in a million. The wait is usually a couple of hours on the weekends and reservations are not accepted. Dress is usually pretty upscale, not evening gowns but only the servers wear jeans. The menu ranges from calamari to duck. The lettuce wraps are outstanding and are quite refreshing (just make sure you ask for more lettuce up front, usually what they give you if not enough!) and the salt and pepper calamari is also quite good. Just make sure you save room for the honey crisp shrimp or the Chang's spicy chicken (just don't eat the peppers, beleive me I have tried!). Chang's has a very good selection of wines, both by the bottle and the glass. If you are unsure of what to order, the servers are very knowledgable and can recommend a good wine to compliment the meal. After all this, you have to have desert. They have more that fortune cookies here! Chocolate lovers watch out! They have a chocolate tower that will make you melt. Of coarse, you have to try eating all this delcious food with chop sticks (or maybe the fork!)
