1. Fridays After 5

The Buzz -- Since 1988, the city of Charlottesville has hosted these outdoor concert events in the gentrified Downtown Mall. Popular with locals, students, and tourists alike, Fridays After 5 features outstanding local and regional acts – a list that has included the likes of Eddie Money, War, and Dave Matthews Band. In addition to great music, the event also boasts food stalls and even a beer vendor or two. While the quaffs will cost you, shows are always free.
