2. Buddhist Biker Bar and Grill

THE CORNER.   A rather nondescript location for one of Hooville's more popular student watering holes, this cozy brick home is located about half a block off University Avenue. It's hard to imagine a place with a more eclectic – or is it schizophrenic? – concept for a college town bar. The menu includes the likes of artichoke and parmesan-stuffed mushrooms, baked brie, and a roasted vegetable tostada with marinated black beans, while the decor features a vaulted ceiling with a hand-painted water scene and an old canoe. When the crowd gets too big, which is highly possible on nights when bands play, you'll find that it spills onto the patio out back.   (© 10Best)

Drinks are a fair price, and the staff was very friendly and attentive. Definitely better than the other spots on the Corner. Parking is impossible if you don't live on campus. There is a parking garage very close to the bar, so bring some cash. Fun decor.

This place is great. $3 sandwiches on Wednesdays pair well with the dollar draft PBR for a cheap meal in a great atmosphere. Friendly staff are helpful enough without crowding. Warm but unassuming decor. Easily my favorite comfortable meal in town.

The 'new' Biltmore, this place can be a little crowded but is still the best destination on the Corner.
