4. Copacabana Brazilian

One of Charlottesville's more unique restaurants, Copacabana offers a friendly, festive atmosphere. Here, the Brazilian-born Hermano Freitas dazzles patrons with the unique flavors of his homeland, and some of the more popular dishes even bear a French lilt. Featured entrees include sautéed scallops in sherry wine and cream sauce, chicken breast and shrimp in spicy Brazilian sauce, and veal medallions with mushrooms in Dijon mustard and white wine sauce.
