9. Tastings of Charlottesville

Fun, interesting place. Different
Tastings is a great little restaurant inside of an impressive wine store. C-ville is packed with good restaurants that are, well, good restaurants. This is another one, but it's more fun because of all of the wines they let you try with your meal. (Wine with dinner seemed priced low; maybe most people like us end up buying a case.) Tastings is in the base of a parking garage, which doesn't sound cool, but it's cozy inside. (Been there for years, I'm told.) Service was good, but the food and the wine...we're still talking about it. Food and wine--it could be the next big thing!

We had one of our worst dining experiences ever at this place. The food and wine selection were very good but the service was so horrible we left no tip. Our server rolled her eyes at us when we asked about our dinner after waiting almost 2 hours and blamed us for not telling her earlier that we needed to catch a show and wanted to hurry things along.
