2. Chattanooga Nature Center

Beautiful and Peaceful
The Nature Center provides a neat opertunity to see some of the natural plants and vegitation that grow in the area and also provide education about conservation. There is a roughly 3/4 mile board walkway that goes through parts of the forest, over a wetland, along the river and takes you to two elevated tree houses in the process. It then takes you to were the animals are kept and cared for. They center has Red-tailes hawks, a Bald Eagle, Turkey Vultures, a bodcat, an owl, and several Red Wolves. The Nature Center also maintains a 3 mile driving or walking trail. We opted to drive because of our schedule for the day, but the trail provides some beautiful views of the country side and forset and also takes you down along the river for a little while. We saw all kinds of flowers and vegetation and even some wild turkeys while driving along the trail. I would recommend the Nature Center to anyone visiting the area for a relaxing morning activity.
