Details: 1 Walnut St, Chattanooga, TN 37403 · 423-757-7589 DOWNTOWN. This bridge was first erected in 1890 to connect downtown Chattanooga with the neighborhoods on the North Shore. The bridge fell into disrepair but has been refurbished and converted into a pedestrian walkway – the longest in the world at a length of ½ mile. Stroll the bridge on a clear day and you can see Coolidge Park and the Tennessee Aquarium. Hours:
