The Buzz -- Three of Chicago's most exciting nights also rank among its busiest, most bustling, and exhausting: the eve of Independence Day, the Fourth of July, and Chicago's Venetian Night (July 25). These three evenings boast amazing fireworks displays, which are best seen from Lake Michigan. Instead of jostling shoulder to shoulder with the crowds on Navy Pier, make reservations as soon as possible for a relaxing, awe-inspiring cruise on the lake that bypasses the usual crush of humanity.
