The Buzz -- Once one of the city's most competitive runs, the Bastille Day 5K still honors competition and effort, but it's now more about fun. After all, the finish line promises a wine tasting, along with plenty of beer and food. What's even better is that it's all for a great cause since the race benefits the Mercy Home for Boys and Girls, a residential home for abused and neglected children. Post-race, the real revelry begins, courtesy of a block party that features live music, food, and a winner's medal ceremony at 8:30pm. |
