The Buzz -- Considered one of the world's premier jazz orchestras, Chicago Jazz Ensemble presents stellar concerts that even the most diehard jazz aficionados appreciate. For this January performance, part of the American Heritage Jazz Series, the much-heralded, 21-member band pays tribute to two legendary jazz artists, Duke Ellington and Louis Armstrong. It'll be a toe-tapping evening of big band classics like Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World" and pieces from the Ensemble's library of Ellington greats.

The Space -- Harris Theater for Music and Dance has a widely varied schedule. The regular season generally includes modern, folk, and African dance performances, as well as choral, classical, and jazz concerts, from both local and international arts groups, but every season brings its own flavor and style. Opened in 2003, the Harris was downtown Chicago's first newly constructed, multi-use performing arts venue built since 1929.
