MAGNIFICENT MILE. This European-style hotel is the flagship of the Park Hyatt brand. Conveniently located within five miles of "everything," it's a monument to luxury accommodations. Attention to detail and spectacular service are incomparable. Amenities include designer furniture (by Eames, Mies van der Rohe, and Le Corbusier), a wine bar, several restaurants (including NoMI and its sushi bar), and enough in-room perks to make leaving unthinkable. An abundance of granite, mohair, etched glass, cherry wood, and leather gives the hotel an understated yet regal atmosphere. Perfection. Event space for 300. 202 rooms and suites.

THE LOOP. This distinctive, 14-story hotel overlooks the Chicago River and features French Deco design.
