OAK PARK. Our historic Inn was originally opened in 1926 as The Oak Park Manor. This architectural gem of Oak Park Ave was home to many literary figures. Poets of the era- such as Vincent Starrett- found the ambience of the hotel an excellent creative atmosphere for writing as well as relaxing. The Write Inn is a perfect tourist destination surrounded by shops- eating establishments and beautiful architecture. We also work well for the business traveler- being just 20 min from Chicago- easily accessible via the Green line train walking distance from the hotel.
