Opera, somewhat surprisingly, delivers an acrobatic twist on regional Chinese cuisine in a onetime warehouse that blends wood-paneled walls with a collage of lamps and lights in riotous color. Begin with Eight Immortal squid, progress through spicy Singapore noodles and sweet pea-shoot stir fry, or choose the three preparations of Peking duck. Options for vegetarians abound as well.
