WEST SIDE.   Don't come here for health food! Come for Southern-style soul food, full of flavor and served in a casual, relaxed environment. The quirky, funky warehouse-style space (abstract paintings of chickens and eggs adorn the walls) offers breakfast on weekdays and a popular weekend brunch. Try fluffy biscuits, French toast, salmon cakes with hollandaise, or a house specialty called Red Eggs, which consists of two eggs on a corn tortilla with black beans, cheese, hot sauce, sour cream, and salsa. Something for everyone, including vegetarians. Buy a cool t-shirt on your way out. Casual attire.   (© 10Best)

I've been going out to the Wishbone for breakfast & dinners for years and this restaurant never fails to satisfy. My son loves the corn bread muffins and fluffy fruit pancakes which have the fruit inside of (not on top of) the pancake. I love the southwestern red eggs, black bean cakes and veggie juices, salads, sauteed spinich, red slaw, southern sides, grilled & blackend fish dishes. It's a great place to take folks who have varied tastes in food. You can eat very heathy or sinfully. My southern aunts and uncles were very happy with the Kentucky fried steak, hamburgers, tex mex breakfasts and meat loaf when they come to visit me. Also, it is the most family and toddler friendly restaurant in the city. The service is always outstanding. The owner, Joel, is a very friendly and warm person and his vibe is well represented by this gem of a restaurant.
