 EDITOR REVIEW: LAKE VIEW. The chef at this famous restaurant (a favorite of locals) calls his cuisine "urban heartland," and it has a focus on locally grown ingredients and fresh herbs and spices. The dining room is classy and rustic with dark woods, a green color scheme, and a long bar. Dishes are classic and hearty, including French toast, omelets, Bloody Marys, and addictive sticky buns. The signature appetizers are smoked trout in an herbed pancake with Granny Smith apples and salmon caviar.
