THE LOOP.   Aptly named, this superior French Country restaurant sits 40 stories above Chicago. Reputed chef Jean Joho brings a taste of Alsace to the cuisine, providing it a simple sensuality. A representative entree sandwiches a disc of wild hare between fried potato and a soft quail egg. Other options include roasted chestnut soup, wild mushroom consommé, potato-crusted halibut, and venison filet. The wine list holds its own next to the menu's world-class selections. 	"Papa Bear" more than a month ago
This was the single biggest food and service disappointment my wife and I had in Chicago. Food was cold, poorly prepared, served as though we were in a deli and frankly the views were inexistant, unless a crowded glimpse of the western suburb is your thing. Service was unprofessional and to boot, the place was so pricey. Take your taste buds and expectations elsewhere!
