GREEKTOWN.
This restaurant stays open late, feeding hungry patrons after other restaurants have shut their doors. The menu includes a host of traditional mezes – try a platter of sausages, liver, sweetbreads, and meatballs, or sample spinach cheese pie. Main selections encompass a delectable roster of lamb, vegetable, potato, and chicken dishes. Try chicken karama, chicken simmered with tomatoes and herbs and served with rice pilafi or okra. The interior features Greek landscapes.

I was excited to try a new greek resturant with such a unique menu for Greek restuarants in Chicago. My excitement quickly turned into extreme dissapointment. We started out with fish roe spread, beets, potatos, and octopus. The fish roe tates as if its out of a can. The beets lacked substantial flavor. The octopus tasted like it was cooked in spaghettio sauce. After highly dissapointing appitizers we hopped that the unique menu items would redeem the restuarant. Being a big fan of liver we ordered a plate with sweetbreads, liver, and sausage. Each of them lacked any flavor whatsoever and were uncomprehendably bland and cooked inapporpriatly (liver sweetbread). We also had a lamb dish which was cooked in a bad spaghettio like sauce again. (I actually like spaghettios but this was terrible). For another main course we also had broiled sweetbreads. Like the combo dish, they were not flavored, were greasy, and the texture made me forget why I liked sweetbread. Of course like most Greek restaurants, service was horrible and you felt as if you were inconveniencing the staff by asking for something or even ordering. The ambiance was reasonable with exception for a rather bad smell that was even worse than the flaming cheese (saginaki?, I really can't spell). All in all, I would not consider this an option for greek food in chicago. Any restuarant, of the 4 others I've been to in the area greek town and other greek resturants, surpasses the food and service here.

We're from the Chicago area and can't find anything close to Greek cuisine here in Cincy. Whenever we get the Greek craving, it's off to Chicago for the weekend for GREAT food at the Parthenon! We feast on appetizers and Roditys house wine. IT'S THE BEST!
