The Macho salad is FANTASTIC! And the cornbread is a must :) :)

The first time I went to this place was for lunch. Everything went pretty well - the food was good and so was the service, not exceptional but average. However, the second time I went to dinner (2/9/07) and my experience was not good! The food was average (at best) and the service was HORRIBLE!!!! The server was snotty and looked down her nose at us. It took forever for anyone to clear plates/glasses from our table, she never checked to see how our meal were, etc. I really could go on and on....to sum it up I DON'T recommend this restaurant. Save your money...the view was the only good thing and that's IF you get a table by the window.

My husband and I have been going to Bandera for many years. The service is great and the food very good. Try going the end of May or beginning of June for the Copper River Salmon. Also the grilled artichoke is the best I have ever had. Don't forget to sit by the window for people watching.

The people were fantastic. The meal wonderful, and the dessert sinfully delicious. We will return on our next trip to Chicago this year. Thank you!
