THE LOOP.   This restaurant is run by the Capitanini family, famous for their Italian restaurants since 1927. The atmosphere is vivid and eye-popping with textured walls, eclectic mosaic floors, and interesting sculpture scattered throughout. The wine list is first-rate, and the dishes range from the traditional to the off-the-wall. Try duck breast with escarole or pasta stuffed with pheasant. Ever had eggplant in a dessert?
