A restaurant town in the truest sense of the term, Chicago extends far beyond Polish sausage, deep-dish pizza, and world-class steaks. Thanks to corner vendors and legends like the original Pizzeria Uno, Gino's East, Gene and Georgetti, and Morton's, those respective cuisine types have long been represented all over town. These days, visitors can sample fare prepared by some of the world's most innovative chefs at places like the West Loop's Blackbird and Tru in Streeterville. The Everest, on the Chicago Stock Exchange's 40th floor, serves a fabulous city view alongside artistically presented Alsatian fare.
