Downtown Clemson

DOWNTOWN. Clemson's walkable downtown area offers a fascinating mix of old and new, tradition and novelty. On the one hand, there are long-time merchants like Judge Keller's, the Tiger Sports Shop, and Knickerbockers, which are the kinds of places that most college towns have (and need) to make sure students and alumni are clothed in orange. Other stores, like M.H. Frank, Ltd. concentrate on making sure customers are just well dressed, and still others specialize in everything from bicycles to ladies' apparel. There are also off-campus bookstores, t-shirt shops, and even a frame shop and gallery, Allen's, where you can pick up terrific framed images of Clemson's most treasured sites.
