6. Holden Arboretum

Established in 1931, this living museum contains over 3,400 acres of trails, gardens and trees. Its purpose is to promote conservation, study and protection of varieties of plants native to northeast Ohio. On the grounds, visitors are welcome to hike, fish, bird watch or just take in the natural beauty that magically changes with the seasons. Admission fees help to alleviate the cost of the arboretum's programs.   (© 10Best)
