2. Karl's Inn of the Barrister's

Karl's, across the street from the courthouse and the Justice Department, is a well-known lunch hangout for judges, lawyers and other officials. The discreet booths, placed among greenery and brass, allow patrons to relax over thick deli sandwiches (such as corned beef and steak pastrami) or classics like chef's salads, burgers or old-fashioned, toasted BLTs.
