Established in 1918, the orchestra performs in Severance Hall from September to May and makes other special appearances throughout the year.

  8. It's no wonder that Cleveland is a sports fan's dream come true, given that the Heisman Trophy is named for native Clevelander John W. Heisman. Professional sports include baseball, basketball, soccer, hockey and football.
  9. Cleveland has restaurants to suit any taste. Among the ones available are those that reflect the international flavors of Eastern Asia, the Mediterranean, the Continent and Latin America.
  10. When it comes to culture, Cleveland's museums accommodate all interests, from contemporary art to health, from police to polka! Most facilities are centered in University Circle, a 488-acre campus of cultural, religious, educational and social service organizations.
