DOWNTOWN. Located in the historic Alamo Building and famous for some of the "best martinis in town," Mackenzie's serves up some great steak options, too. The room is sharp in appearance with wood and stone walls, yet comfortable with plenty of soft lighting. As well as a night spot, it's also a great place for a business lunch.

OLD COLORADO CITY. This fun spot is almost always full of people hanging out and having a relaxed meal or a beer. The service is quick and witty. The place brands itself a sports grill and saloon, and it does have that air, complete with wagons hanging from the ceiling (which, according to the menu, were in "Gone With The Wind") and interesting fans that cool the bar (which, again according to the menu, were in the movie "Casablanca"). Burgers are king here – the local favorite is the Jiffy Burger, a slightly odd combination of beef burger, peanut butter, bacon and provolone.

DOWNTOWN. SItuated in the historic Cheyenne Building, this popular spot is yet another great option for those looking for brewhouse hangouts in the Springs. It is also one of the most popular restaurants in the city and is credited for contributing to the downtown revitalization. You can sit anywhere and benefit from the huge windows that afford great views of the mountains and downtown. It's usually busy, which means noise, but if you are visiting a place like this, you'll probably be making some noise of your own as well. The second floor is devoted to pool, with twelve tournament style billiard tables, a jukebox, another bar, and great views. Have fun!

DOWNTOWN. Although The Ritz is one heck of a nightspot in which to hang out, socialize and hear good music from a very impressive house sound system, their food (especially the sandwiches) is worth mentioning as well. Locals love the bar, which is the center point of the room.

DOWNTOWN. Part of a block-long complex of hot nightspots, Rum Bay sports tropical décor and a large selection of – you guessed it – rum. The energy kicks into high-gear later in the evening and on weekends, when DJs spin a variety of tunes calculated to get you up on your feet and moving to the groove. Alternatively, you can check out the dueling pianos next door, or head to the tiny Sam's Bar for a little quiet time in closer quarters. There are also tequila and bourbon bars to investigate if rum isn't your thing.
