This place has great baristas and staff. They offer not only great coffee drinks but teas, smoothies and milkshakes. I love the atmosphere - a great place to come and relax.

Best Alternative to Starbucks? No, Starbucks is a fair alternative to Pikes Perk. For those that are used to Folgers or Starbucks and don’t know any better I am truly sorry. Its not your fault-you are victims of marketing. For those who truly know how coffee is intended to taste and know the difference between "earthy" and "ferment". Those who know what a good cup of coffee is. How fresh roasted, properly stored, properly roasted coffee is intended to taste--you will truly appreciate Pikes Perk for their coffee as well as their friendly staff.

I have had the enjoyment of visiting many coffee houses across this country and have found only a few that I enjoy as much as Pikes Perk. It is my hometown coffee house! Best coffee and service in the state. They roast their own beans locally, which is a major plus. Great coffee, live music, caring service! I go there daily! Go, you will not be disappointed!
