7. Riverbanks Zoo and Gardens

COLUMBIA NORTHWEST.   The Riverbanks Zoo is a must for anybody looking to check out the top family activities in Columbia, South Carolina. The zoo is home to a vast amount of animals, from baboons to koalas. You can't stop at the cute, furry ones though; the elephants and sea lions are great show stoppers as well. The Riverbanks Zoo botanical gardens are also worth visiting as they offer a fascinating 70 acres of six different gardens, from roses to waterfalls.   (© 10Best)
