6. Lexington County Museum

LEXINGTON.   The Lexington County Museum in Columbia, SC, is a complex that includes some 30 historic structures dating back as far as the late 1700s. To get a true idea of what life in South Carolina was like before the days of the Civil War, this Columbia history museum is a great start.
