 EDITOR REVIEW: Hoping to find a cure for the infantile paralysis (polio) that had struck him in 1921, Franklin Delano Roosevelt built this vacation home in 1932. FDR died while posing for a portrait and the "Unfinished Portrait" is in a museum on-site. Also in the museum are other interesting exhibits such as his 1938 Ford convertible with hand controls. The house is open for tours and there is a gift shop and a picnic area on the premises.
