2. Buckhead Bar and Grill

I came here for a girls' dinner when it was a few shades cooler, and we sat in the incredibly charming patio area where we were served by a sweet waitress who answered all of our annoying questions about the menu. The first of these annoying questions was, "What are some really tasty cocktails?" The not-that-helpful-but-truthful answer was a run-down of every single drink listed on the menu. Between five girls we ended up trying all of them, and I'll go ahead and say they WERE all delicious, though the chocolate martini was a little too chocolaty for my tastes. My favorite was the lemonhead martini with little lemonhead candies in it. Deliciousness. Food was well thought-out, gorgeous, and ultra-tasty. We split two appetizers – one off their Sunset Menu, heirloom tomatoes and the other off their dinner menu - Fried Oysters. Both appetizers were pretty simple and the quality ingredients spoke for themselves. I ordered the halibut and stole bites of my friends' sockeye salmon and crab cakes. Every morsel was heavenly, but my favorite was the halibut. Perfectly cooked, and the accompanying veggies were awesome. Some seriously delicious squash. And oh, dessert! We split three –crème brulee, with multi-colored raspberries (so pretty and so yummy!), chocolate mouse with blueberries, mint leaves and strawberries and chips of chocolate (the winner, oh man, soooo good), and a chocolate cake with blackberries and vanilla ice cream so rich I could only eat one bite. All in all, a wonderful leisurely meal that we left feeling full but not limping. I'd like to go back for a romantic evening with my boyfriend. But even if he won’t take me Buckhead has not seen the last of this glutton.
