COPENHAGEN.   You can chart the origins of the Danish people at this museum, which is regarded as one of Europe's best. Exhibits are divided into five distinct sections: Prehistory/Middle Ages to Renaissance, Palace/Museum, Royal Collection of Coins and Medals, Egyptian and Classical Antiquities, and Ethnographic (essentially, relics of Eskimo culture). It is a great place to take kids because there is a children's museum with dress ups and such. A great Cafe with tapas style lunch for kids and a super brunch on weekends. Free this year of 2007.. all the state museums are free in Denmark this year.
