2. Arken Museum of Modern Art

ISHØJ.   This museum features contemporary Danish and Scandinavian art and places a particular emphasis on post-war movements and art created from 1990 onwards. Photography, sculpture, and installation art are all represented, and the building itself is an intriguing example of modern architecture. Man's place in society and art's use of new materials are just two of the concepts explored at Arken. A great gift shop is available, and a café affords awesome views of Køge Bay.   (© 10Best)
