COPENHAGEN.   This museum celebrates the work of Danish sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen, who donated a stunning collection of items to his native Copenhagen in 1838. The museum's holdings include sculpture, reliefs, and busts created during his lifetime, along with a large assortment of artwork dating from before 1800 that Thorvaldsen acquired for himself.
