COPENHAGEN.   The drive toward Kronborg Castle showcases the Danish countryside and the Swedish shore. Kronborg, believed to be the model for Shakespeare's Elsinore in "Hamlet," offers a magnificent walk through the longest Knight's Hall in Northern Europe. In the afternoon, groups head to Fredensborg Palace, the queen's summer home, and Frederiksborg Castle, which was built in 1625.   (© 10Best)

This is a wonderful way to see the Danish countryside as well as learn some history--the castles are beautiful and well maintained--you'll probably stop for a typical Danish smorgasbord lunch, which is pretty enlightening in itself--nice way to spend a morning or afternoon
