It begins with a jaunt north to Frederiksborg Castle and its national historical museum and then continues past Fredensborg Palace and ends with Kronborg Castle. Kronborg was made famous as Shakespeare's model for Elsinore in "Hamlet." Built between 1574 and 1585, Kronborg was used to protect Denmark and to exact a toll on seafaring ships.
