 EDITOR REVIEW: COPENHAGEN. Founded in 1723, this cellar bar offers atmosphere in spades. Stone floors, a warren of rooms, and a certain smoky ambience set the tone for the place. Throughout the day, people of all ages and configurations drop in to sample Danish beers on tap or have a glass of wine. Foot traffic of all sorts is common, thanks to the nearby Royal Danish Theatre and Strøget, the pedestrian shopping center. Among the famous figures who have patronized the place over the centuries is Hans Christian Andersen.
