Kronborg, believed to be the model for Shakespeare's Elsinore in "Hamlet," offers a magnificent walk through the longest Knight's Hall in Northern Europe. In the afternoon, groups head to Fredensborg Palace, the queen's summer home, and Frederiksborg Castle, which was built in 1625.

COPENHAGEN. This great bus tour lets travelers familiarize themselves with the city. It's well worth the two-and-a-half hours and the monetary investment. The tour starts by Tivoli, heads to the Gefion Fountain, allows for a glimpse of Amalienborg Palace, and follows up with a canal boat ride and "water-views" of Copenhagen. Sit on top of the bus for the best vantage point.

COPENHAGEN. Definitely worth the time and money! This trip includes a view of Kronborg Castle and a ferry ride to Helisingborg, Sweden. Once there, you drive to Lund to tour the town church and see its astrological clock. The tour then proceeds to Malmo, where two hours are allotted for sightseeing. Interesting guides have great personalities. The drive back through tunnels and on a cable bridge is impressive. A real treat! Reservations and passport required.

COPENHAGEN. This half-day trip features a scenic shoreline drive. It begins with a jaunt north to Frederiksborg Castle and its national historical museum and then continues past Fredensborg Palace and ends with Kronborg Castle. Kronborg was made famous as Shakespeare's model for Elsinore in "Hamlet." Built between 1574 and 1585, Kronborg was used to protect Denmark and to exact a toll on seafaring ships.

COPENHAGEN. If you've ever wondered what 45 million legos look like, here's your chance to find out. The Lego Dragon Castle is a must see, as are the Statue of Liberty, Versailles, and the Chinese Palaces – all rendered in classic plastic blocks. The attraction offers plenty to do, including snapping photos of the resident zebras, crocodiles, and dogs – all plastic, too! Fun for all ages and a nice, bright change from the area's historic castles. Advanced booking recommended.

FREDERIKSBERG. Royal Copenhagen has been in business for centuries, and its china and porcelain are well-known around the world. In fact, the company has been manufacturing beautiful goods since 1775 and has been at this site since 1884. The tour provides a behind-the-scenes look at one of the world's finest china makers.
