2. Glenn Curtiss Museum

HAMMONDSPORT.   Glenn Curtiss (1878-1930) was, in his day, a pioneer, influencing the development of aviation, motorcycle design, and even southeastern Florida real estate. His innovations put Curtiss in contact with the Wright Brothers, Alexander Graham Bell, and other foreward thinkers, and his creations extended from a water-cooled airplane engine to the house trailer. The museum that honors him features vintage aircraft along with artifacts and photographs that document the era.   (© 10Best)
