3. Gaffer Grille and Tap Room

For many years, this restaurant has been our favorite in the Twin Tiers. Last month we took our family for a special occasion dinner and were very dissapointed. The salads were not fresh, the service was very slow and the meals were mediocre at best. In an attempt to salvage the meal, we ordered desserts. The creme brulee was thick and not smooth...dissapointing again. The bill was close to $200 for 5 people. We are sad that it hasn't kept up with it's solid past.

Went with out of town family in the summer of 2004. Had a GREAT dinner...wonderful choices for all who were there. Service was good, the atmosphere was relaxed but classy. Looking forward to going back again.
